Indian mills unlikely to cut domestic HRC prices in December

Indian mills are unlikely to cut domestic hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices in December even though local traders have been offering discounts on HRC compared with prices offered by mills. The price of steel HRC, domestic ex-warehouse India was assessed by Fastmarkets on November 26 at 70,000-71,000 rupees per tonne, stable since the first week of November.

Spot prices of similar HRC offered by traders have been in the range of 68,000-68,500 rupees per tonne, representing a discount of 2,000-2,500 rupees…
